It's time for us to get back on the horse! When you fall from a big height it can be painful but climbing back up and trying again is a real sign of true competitors. We were well beaten by Orange but we will get another chance to play them later in the year and show them what an an anomaly that result was. Now it's time to focus on the next game. And that next game is against the Albanian Eagles at home this Sunday. This has been a bit of an awkward team for us with two games resulting in high scoring draws. If we can tighten up our defence against the Eagles we will have a big chance to win. They do have very tricky forwards and we will have to get back to our best if we want to re-engage in the race for the top spots in the league. The Eagles have very variable form in the league so far but sit in 6th position after 12 games having won 4 games, drawn 2 and lost 6.
This will be our last home game for a while so it was suggested we should try for an after match BBQ! Tell me in the comments section below if you are up for that.

It was nice that Puyol gave the captains armband to Abidal to lift the cup. Because he was ill before and this was a great gesture. They are the best team mates the World has ever seen!

ReplyDeleteGuys, We will need to "claim" 2 tables before the game starts, which means we need to put covers and/or stuff on the tables and have someone there to keep an eye on it. I'm willing to 'volunteer' my son for PART of the time, not all of it, since I'm sure he will want to see some of our game. If you have someone who can go to the beach for awhile, that would be great.

ReplyDeleteRoniildo, It's a good thing you're there. I'd like to say we could've used you, but we actually played well and dominated most of the game. We gave up two penalty kicks and made a couple of other big mistakes, like playing without a sweeper until after their first goal when they easily ran past the backline. Anyway, without recounting all of the drama, it was as painful a tie as we've experienced in quite some time.....well, actually since the last time we tied them 4-4!!
