Our second game in the SASL is an away game to the
Albanian Eagles. We don't know much about this team other than the fact that they came second in the league last year. They lost their opening game of the new season 3-2 at home to Wallingford Morelia. So they will be looking to get back on track with a win against us! We are also an unknown commodity to this team but they will know we beat Orange in the opening game. I would imagine all our initial games with these new teams will be a bit cagey as we work out where our strengths and weaknesses are. I liked the way we approached the Orange game.... we just went for it and we were the best team over the first twenty minutes or so. We should try and do the same against the Eagles!
Our track record stretching back to November 2009 is now remarkable..... over that time we have played 16 games, won 13, drawn twice and lost only once! We have scored 45 goals allowing only 14 past our nets on the way to accumulating 41 points out of a possible 48!!
I would be scared to play against a team with those stats! Let's keep them going!!
The game is a 10 AM kick off at the Bucks Hill Fields in Waterbury.... field directions are in the pages section on the right side of the blog page or here;
La Boca is the designated beer boy for this game! See you there!

ReplyDelete.......Bridgeport v Southington FC this Sunday in CARSL. If Southington win, we are champs of CARSL
ReplyDeleteRoniildo.... not quite yet.... we are only 1 point ahead of them and they have 2 games left. They need 2 points or more out of those games to become champs.... so if they win they pip us to the post..... if they lose or draw we get to live as leaders until next week!
ReplyDeleteI love the pic of Carlos praying over the player he has just killed..... LOL
ReplyDelete.....it looks poetic. talking about El Flaco, TomA, can you confirm that you and Carlos are all set for Sunday car pooling...thanks
ReplyDelete.......missing the makeup game with bridgeport really sticks in the craw now!
ReplyDeleteI know.... not sure if Bridgeport would ever want to play that make up game because we could stop them winning the league!.... ....actually losing to Soutbury sticks in the craw! All we needed was one more player to help with the subbing
ReplyDelete......excellent point on Southbury game ;-)

ReplyDeleteManagers and Assistants,
ReplyDeleteWeek #2 is upon us and for the most part being the sole registrar isn't as bad as I thought. I think most of you find I try to be as accomadating as I can be, with that being said 2 things:
Do not call me after 9pm on any day, unless you won the lottery and are giving me a million.
Your best way to contact me is Monday through Friday, during working hours, via this email address.
I will be away for business starting Thursday August 26th and returning Saturday August 28th. All passes needing to be processed for play of August 29th should be in the mail by Monday (8/23) the latest. During those days I will be slow in answering my email, please be patient.
