Xara No Show!

Unfortunately Southeast Xara turned up with only 3 players so we ended up with a scrimmage game. We had enough Madison players and guest ex-players like Matin and Mamoud to have a reasonable game. For those of you on the team that did not include David and Kris the scrimmage was a bit of a whitewash with 10 goals betting slammed past The Hulk. Everytime David took a shot on goal he scored! Hopefully he can do that in a real game next week! Halil and Tano were very unlucky not to score a few goals as they managed to hit the bar, post or last defender instead of the back of the net! And Matin scored the best own goal of the season!! We do need to get better at passing and running..... the team looks very unfit !

Next game is against Cardiac Arrest at 7pm

  1. Guys,

Be careful for Cardiac Arrest next week. With our unathletic builds, slow movement and poor touch, we lull our opponents to sleep. If you get to the field early, you can probably listen in on our strategy sessions. You may overhear something like this:

"Guys, lets get this game over with so we can get to Doody's"
"How many wings and pitchers should we start with?"
"Hey, do you think they will notice if we play with seven on the field again"

    See you next week
    Tom

  4. ........................sounds like I missed a historic event. Tano, thanks for voicemail update. Wings and beer does sound good this time of year, but it is worrying, if johnaldo is pointing out how unfit we look in a scrimmage.SASL is just around the corner boys....hope all the other teams have taken a fitneess vacation during the break......LOL Hey, don' yor women give you s..t, for the extra 30 LB of blubber. :-)

  5. I wish we can have those programs that follow the player all the time and at the end tell you how much you run. I have Chris always in my back so I have to move around all the time.
I was a little obsess to get a goal thats why I didn't pass the ball and I recognize it. (Sorry)
But Hallil was marked all the time by two guys and Tom ask me the ball from my back and he didn't get the speed that indoor required but he getting better. Bruce save many tough ones and the easy ones went in unlucky night for him.
And Johnando have some problems to find his position to play, part of the general frustation.
I find the problem of our indoor season after many hours of ask my self why we do that bad and the reason are. That we have new guys starting to play with us so they didn't fit yet and we need the midd.
I suggest to get this formation for now and see how we doing.
    Goalkeeper:
    El Gato
    Defenders:
(left) Johnaldo or cheznik (Mid)Bruce or La Boca right Tpink or Tom A.
    Midfielders:
Hallil, Chris David S. and Roniildo
    Forwards:
    Ruggero or Tano.

    and good luck after all.

  8. “There’s nothing worse than sitting in the dressing room at Celtic Park after a defeat, not a word being said, listening to them going mental next door.”
    Ally McCoist (ex-Rangers striker)

“Rangers like the big strong powerful fellows, with a bit of strength and solidity in the tackle, rather than the frivolous, quick moving stylists like Jimmy Johnstone, small, tiptoe-through-the-tulips type of players who excite people.”
    Willie Waddell, Rangers manager 1972

Brian Clough: “What team did you say you support again?”
Man in the studio audience: “RANGERS!”
Brian Clough: “That’s not a football team! That’s a gang of villains.”

  9. To the Rangers fans: “Stay and vomit in your own home, urinate in the corner of your own sitting room, fight with your own neighbours Celtic (who deserve a medal for putting up with you) and foul the streets of Glasgow. Don’t come back to Barcelona, you’re an embarrassment. And while we’re at it, don’t play in the Champions League. You’re not up to scratch, either on a sporting or human level.
There are noisy supports who, even though they drink large quantities of beer, make friends. Not you lot, because you turn everywhere you go into dumps. You are undesirables.”

  10. This has to be said about Rangers FC, briefly, because Prague beckons. As a football club, they are a permanent embarrassment and an occasional disgrace. This country would be a better place if Rangers did not exist.

They are a permanent embarrassment because they are the only club in the world which insists that every member of the team is of one religion. They are an occasional disgrace because some of their fans, fuelled by bigotry, behave like animals.

  11. In deed Rangers are stupid racist.
Celtics the best team of Caledonia.

USA vs. Argentina good to save some seats first line. I wonder how much they are.
