It's our last official game of 2010! Yes, it's nearly time for a break so we can allow our bodies to recharge before the indoor season starts. We have been playing non stop since April storming to the CARSL Division B championship ( with 3 games to spare!! ) then joining the SASL Div 3 and positioning ourselves in the top 3 in a very competitive league.During that period we have played 21 games , won 13 , drawn 7 and lost only 1 ! It's a great record by any standard and we have a chance to finish the year off in style by getting 3 points in our final league game of the Fall. We are home to the Albanian Eagles who proved they could be tricky opponents when we played them in August. We fell two goals behind before coming back to gain a point in a 2-2 draw. They have a couple of fast forwards but their defence is suspect.
We need a good turnout for this game and i know we have a number of players carrying injuries or will be absent this Sunday.

Celtic Vs Rangers this Sunday morning....kick off is 745 am so I should get to the field on time.... El Gato has all the official passes etc if i don't.... If Celtic lose i may not turn up at all!

ReplyDelete.........Guys, we're still undefeated in almost a year. Reliable Goggoliito will be back for 2nd half of the seaon, and our defense will be solid. We have a couple of new guys who want to try out, plus Altigan will be available or the 2nd half. I was sad today because our heads beat us yet again...when we can control ourselves we will have an awesome team to compete in SASL.

ReplyDelete........Johnaldo, thanks for the update on our competition... great result for us. If I only took the ball round their keeper at the end today it would only be 2 points. I am personally starting a fitness crusade for the 2nd half of the season. When I look back, today and other games, more speed would have cleaned their clocks big time...With Gogiliito back as anchor in the back, I can't wait for April.... In the meantime, we'll get set fot indoor in January at the sportsplex.....

We want all to participate if possible. This would be for all players including part time players. Let's make it a big bash... Since advance reservation is required I need to know the full head count by end of this week please. Its going to be BYOB so anybody who wants to drink bring a bottle of wine. Look Carlos, how he run all game and pass some opponent so easy.
Also with more stamina, we can made more pressure. Again, I saw Carlos at front how by pressure, he stole the ball from the last defender (when he missed the goal and I was at his left side).
And personaly I will practice my shots on tiredness way because is a big difference kick the ball after you make a sprint run.
So, good reflection Roniildo.
Tano Carlos only weighs about 110 lbs.... my dog is heavier!
