The Hulk goes Fishing with the Bhoys!
What a fantastic time we had with The Hulk on our team fishing trip last Saturday! We caught 28 fish!!! 8 of them were good sized stripers and the rest Bluefish. I have to boast that mine was the first on the boat and the biggest striper of the day!!...... and i think The Hulk just beat out Jodingo!! for the biggest blue! The weather was fantastic and the company brilliant!
As for soccer news, hopefully we will have a friendly against Cheshire this Sunday....Tom has the details!

Hey Tano, I'm not particularly interested in playing in goal... I need to work on outfiled play where I'll be in spring. I am willing to stand back there for the team if we really need me during the season (Hulk and El Gato are both missing) but beyond that I'm an outfield player.

ReplyDeleteAwesome.
.....TomA, what is th name of the team we are playing. Is it the div 1 SASL third place team (azzurru?)
ReplyDeleteRon,
ReplyDeleteWe will be playing against Cheshire Inter of SASL 2nd division team. FYI, Cheshire has 3 teams and I beleive they might get few players or mix it up from other Cheshire teams. I know some of them and plus Ahmad and Matin who play for them as well.
They have suggested to get together for beer and snacks after the game and I think is a good idea to make sure we have plenty of beer and snacks to share.
Chief of Beer where are you?
Guys,
ReplyDeleteThe directions to the Chesire field was sent to me and please check the accuracy of the directions before Sunday. Thanks
Tano bring your brochure for cleats to the game.
ReplyDeleteTom, Isn't it your turn to bring the beer?
ReplyDeleteI'm presuming the game is at 10, right?
TomA, can you post the street address for the field, so we can punch into the GPS...thank you!
ReplyDeleteI'll bring at least 4 cases of beer. If we have 2 teams worth of drinkers, we may need another beer provider as well.
ReplyDeleteBambi
Jodingo,
ReplyDeleteBruce and I have brought beer to 2 games already (East Haven and Hamden) but I might have some extra.
Ron, please check the directions and is on Cheshire street...the street number was not given to me but shouldn't be that difficult to find out.
Thanks Bambi for beer...where is the chief in charge of beer?
I bring chips...now we need volunteers for more snacks
I'll skip this one + you already have an ex-pro left-midfielder so I wouldn't know where to play :o)
ReplyDeleteHave fun and remember it is a friendly game so no injuries prior to our big game against Orange

The beer matter is at ready under control since last week.
Carlos and Jorge are the beer bhoys.
Bamby:
You may don't know but now we have a beers bhoys designed one week in advance, any ways You are welcome to bring some too especially if they are good quality too.
That's why Tom I didn't ask for beer this week.
So sit tight and enjoy the ride.
Thank.
Bambi you could bring your beer for our next home game against Orange on the 17th. We could use a sub coordinator on that day.
ReplyDeleteGuys,
ReplyDeleteDo not mess with CBO he has everything on the control. He is the most dedicated and organized CBO we ever had and most importantly he loves his job.
Jorge, Yes, let's meet at the Exit 74 (East Lyme) commuter lot at 8:30-8:40. It's on the south side of I-95 on the left side going south off the exit. Also, please call Carlos and tell him I can pick him up at the Route 9, Exit 3 (Essex) commuter lot alittle before 9 a.m. I'll be going up Rt 9. See you there!
ReplyDelete.......Jodingo!!, do you need Carlos's work # to touch base personally. That is usually a safer bet? Let me know

ReplyDeleteMontauk Report...
ReplyDeletePlayed 'Chase the birds' at Montauk today... caught about 15 or so blues and 3 stripers, though none of any great size. The fishing was good, but not as awesome as it can be out there.... and then we got pounded coming back. Ah well. Still a fun trip.
No strippers though.
See you guys Sunday
Bambi
Bambi ..... You need to go fishing with the pros!!
ReplyDeletecarlos and me beers guys for sunday. OK jodi, i'll be there exit 74. 8.30 am. I'll call carlos.
ReplyDeleteJodi, my cell # 8609088642
ReplyDeleteJohnaldo - Depends on what you're fishing for and how you like to do it. I actually prefer running around after schools of fish chasing baitballs as opposed to wiring and jigging - it's more exciting... seeing a massive school of fish in an active blitz on a ball of bait 40 yards in diamater is unbelievable. Several times yesterday we could look down and it seemed the boat was floating on a school of bait. You can see the predators flashing in the water. Every blue we caught puked up like 10-20 minnows... it's really neat. Also in general there are larger fish on the reefs at Montauk as opposed to the in-shore reefs (You guys got lots of 30 inch stripers, and some smaller ones... but no bigger ones!) Lots of it is still timing and luck - there are better days and worse days at most of these fishing spots.
