Our first game of the new 2010 season in the CARLS is an away game against Southington FC! We have played them several times over the years and the games have always been competitive. We need to be on our best form to stand a chance of winning but we have done it before!

The directions to get to their field are posted on the brand new "pages" section of the blog....look....right up there on the right hand side of the blog!! Check it out!!....all our past and new match stats will also be placed in this section.
The kick off is at 10 am and it looks like we have a strong squad for the game! Some of us will meet at the Madison Circle at 8.30am to pool.
Try and be there around 9.30 for a good warm up and some team tactics..... ha ha! I know that's funny....
Nobody has been selected for beer duty.....any takers for the first game??

ReplyDeleteI have not heard from Guilford Black Eagles regarding scrimmiges on Thursdays. I will keep you guys informed. They are trying to set up for 11 v. 11 every Thursdays with subs. That would be guys from few teams. They want to make sure they get a good number of players to play a full game.

ReplyDeleteEagles..Tom Karasay's team...it was good...9 on 9, or 10 on 10....on a smaller field (maybe 45X90. At Leete's Elementary School in Guilford.....on South Union Street. Going again next Thursday. I encourage other Celtic players to attend.

I have a friend who would like to join us. He is a registered CARSL player on another team, which he has left. Is he eligible to play this Sunday? Need clarity, no hand-waving or i think so. Who knows the rules?
I won't wave my hand saying I know positively, but I believe he has to be cleared by the league president, George Moesser, to play for another team (and I think his prior team's manager has to give his blessing). Since we are struggling with communications through our designated liaison with George, maybe Behrooz can call him.

ReplyDeletewe have over 15 guys for Sunday..... i'm going to struggle to get on the field already!! another guy trying out would make the problem worse....can you get him to come along to a practice night? Preferably not with the Eagles in case he is good!!

Too bad I was misinformed. I waited for Tom Karasay to confirm the practice on Thursday and he never called me back. How did you hear the practice is on Jodingo?

ReplyDeleteHave your friend request from his teams manager to be released from the team since he wants to join a different team. They inform the league and we could request to be joined to ours with a new pass.
