CFO Financial Satement

MCFC May 2010 Financial Statement:

Dear Members of Madison Celtic FC,

This is the statement of our current financial status. It outlines and accurately reflects our current cash position. It also details the expenses that the club needs to pay for CARSL and SASL in the short term, and the amount we, as individual players, must contribute to cover the team expenditures for CARSL and SASL this year.

As of May 11th 2010;

In Summary;

As of May 10th, 2010 MCFC balance is $1,205.37

We owe $500 to SASL by 5/31/10 and we owe $1080 to CARSL by 5/12/10 ( yes, today! ) a total of $1580

Until we deposit additional dues in the official MCFC bank Account, that would leave us in the red by $374.63!!!

We can cover the $1080, owed to CARSL this Wednesday, but it is crucial that everyone bring their CARLS fees with them to Woodbridge on Sunday!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

Our official CARSL Team Roster is 22 players;

Each player pays $40 to be listed on the CARSL official player roster.
All teams pay $200 to be registered with CARSL for the Year.
Total CARSL cost per player = (22 x 40) + 200/22 = $ 49.09

For Sunday May 16th match, please bring cash, check or gold bullion:

$50.00 if you have paid nothing yet... you know who you are!
$15.00 if you have paid $35 already

FOR SASL: Only 8 players have paid their dues for SASL! We need $126.50 to cover Fall 2010 and Summer 2011! Also we need colored passport size photo & copy of driving license (or passport if you don’t have a driver’s license) to fill in the league registration passes. We will be asking everyone to sign the passes on Sunday.

If you know of any players who do not check email, or the Madison Celtic Blog, for their information, please let us know ASAP, so that this information can be given to them directly.

Regards,
CFO

  9. Johnaldo, Nice movie...some night soon we'll have to get everyone together for a "night at the movies" to watch all a compilation of the clips on the big screen! We can pause the film and ridicule the hell out of each other.

The roster for Sunday is a bit concerning....maybe each player plays one half?? How's that for a substitution rule?? (I'm sure I'll get some serious replies to this...)

  10. Jodingo!! The good news is that we have a strong and committed squad for the first time in a decade! Over the Summer we will need it as people go on vacation or get injured etc. This Sunday should allow us to really use our subbing to the max. Not sure the get a half each thing will work, except for the goalie slot. I still think we can use the sub pools scenario though.
Identify the 6 players who will play up front, the 5 or 6 player in Defence, the 2 goalies and the last 7 are midfielders. We had forwards subbing into midfield and vice versa last week...which doesn't work that well.

  11. Annie, perhaps our financial status, and plea for cash scared everyone off the blog today?

  14. Johnaldo:
Nice strategy to make the list short;o) (you smart my respect), but in case doesn't work I have the solution lets, play on the side a scrimmage game or if they have a lot of subs too ask to join us for s side game, how is that?.
Any ways this is a recreational league, and lets everybody get tired to deserve a beer.
    But do it.
We did that in Cali when over plays shows up and believe me the side game was hallways more fun.

Ronniildo :you really put your test sense on that beer, I see you close your eyes your wife my be jealous of Stella :o)

  17. Rangers withdraw from Boston Old Firm game

Celtic and Rangers could potentially have locked horns in Boston in the summer

Rangers have pulled out of a potential summer friendly with Celtic in Boston - and may travel to Australia instead.
The SPL champions were due to tour the United States in late July with games in Washington and Dallas before a clash with their Old Firm rivals.
But a row broke out when a Boston newspaper criticised the behaviour of Rangers fans away from Scotland.
"We have decided not to pursue that [match]," said Rangers chief executive Martin Bain.
"Instead, there is the possibility of matches in Australia and an announcement on that will be made in the next couple of days."
The potential for crowd trouble is rumoured to have influenced the decision of the Rangers hierarchy, a risk heightened by a recent Boston Globe article that highlighted a long list of offences outside of Scotland by fans of the club.
The match was due to have taken place at Fenway Park, the historic home of baseball's Boston Red Sox, and would have been the first Old Firm match outside Scotland.

  18. Roniildo-you could be right...they may all be worried that you are drinking the funds away.

Johnaldo-will do my best to be there Sunday to take the historic photo!

  19. A quick head up so no one gets lost and the mass substitution plans don't get upset.....the directions given by CARL Field Directions indicate a turn onto Route 114 Racebrook Road. According to Mapquest the turn is onto Route 114 which is Center Road and then further on becomes Racebrook Road.

  20. thanks for the heads up Dejan! Are you playing this weekend?

  21. EVERYONE....This Sunday You MUST bring 2 color photos of yourself (of your face, Johnaldo) 1" X 1" AND a photocopy of your driver's license.

And bring the dough you owe! "No pay, no play" policy starts Sunday.

  22. If my plans work out I'll be in the area. My injury is starting to heal even more. I'd like to play but I am very allergic to m&m (mass & mindless) & timed substitutions :)
As the saying goes......too many cooks (subs) spoil the broth. Subbing 4 guys in the last three minutes of a game that was well managed is........well you know what happened :) Recreation or not once the team colors are worn it's competition not compe-tit-ion lol

    ReplyDelete
  23. I concur with your thoughts, Dejan. I'm thinking this weekend is an anomaly in terms of the number of players (I, for example, will be out the 3 following weeks).

Skilled, able-bodied and match-ready players should be given priority.

And group substitution and timed substitutions are not a good strategies to use.

  24. just to reiterate, I have played for MCFC for about 6 years now, and there is not one instance I remember when we had too many fit players, infact it has always been the opposite. Sunday will go down fine, and we should just focus on the 3 primary objectives.... to win, have fun and celebrate after the match!

Jodingo!! did you decide on what type of keg?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Like I said previously, if there is >19 players for Sunday.... I was really tempted to stay at home, but....
I am very happy to play with Celtic despite missing out on every countries world cup squad!
My goal when I joined the team 4 years ago was to make the world cup for Canada (eliminated very quickly), then Scotland (do they ever had a chance), then Hawaii (do they have a team?), but now that my only chance is to target the over-60 world cup, I will fight (or bribe other players with beer) for first team playing time, specially that I do not have to play hockey for the next two weeks and therefore will be ready mentally and even more physically...
I will do whatever Coach.. (who is the coach again?) ask me to do and prove that I can play more than 5-10/half :o) see you all (really all!!!!) Sunday
