Guilford Celtic is a Connecticut based team playing in the Shoreline Adult Soccer League since 2010. The team was formed in 2003 and played in the Connecticut Adult Recreational Soccer League for 7 years. In 2017 we changed our name from Madison to Guilford Celtic!
The team is inspired by Glasgow Celtic FC...probably the greatest football team on the planet!

Rain Cancels Game!
Guys
Madison ( and Guilford ) just had a downpour of rain which unfortunately means we will have to cancel the game. Looks like it moves through over the next couple of hours but too late for us
sorry for the late call off guys but it was pouring down between 6.30 and 7. Looks like the band of rain will have moved through by 8am but the town does not let us play on the field if it rains an hour before.... we need a new field!
Behrooz is at the field and says it is totally waterlogged and unplayable... so the Sun may come out by 8am but the field is a disaster.... turned out to be the right call. Thanks for checking everything Behrooz!
We need a new field committe to secure a new venue for next season. I ken that we all like Madison for the 2 times a year we picnic there, but at the end of the day we r a football club, not a picnic club. It is time to move forward again.......
Hail to the Elgin Marbles and Sir. Walter D for executing another awesome tournament....look forward to seeing everyone in the US for a tournie in the near future! Thanks again to all for a great weekend in Scottland....
Gents, It was a quick decision call at 6:35am by Johnaldo and I and was a great one. The field has ankle high standing puddled water. The ref showed up at 7:52 since he is also the referee for the 10am game and confirmed the field is not playable. He was concerned for the 10am game which fortunately is not my problem.... Enjoy the sun now... Thanks Johnaldo for all the emailing, calls, googling, blogging and coordination with the other team and SASL. And looks like the texting is working out well for these moments. So I will keep on doing that.

That cancelation sucked was on my way out driveway when text came in....better for my shoulder though i we have a week off, still sore from last week. Maybe we can get a small practice in for Thursday we could probably use it with the extra time off especially me. Hope orange does the right thing and beats guilford. Enjoy the day everyone

Why not , let's make a US Celtic Park. We have Safety as land scaper and Berhooz as building engineer, David S. as tree removed, and I can install the sprinklers system and french drainage. We have Tom P. for state loan fundraising. So why not
Yes, why not!. We can use 3 times a week, 2 to practice 1 on sundays officials games. Rest time we can rent. So, how much we need to start? $ 2000 and 100 a month during 2 years? let's go!Our family are coming, that's why a said, jorge and family.
guys if you are wondering what is happening for this Sunday. We are trying to get Hamden to play their re-scheduled game with us. They are struggling to get numbers and are suggesting midweek dates that wont work for us. They may have to default if they cant give us a date for this Sunday. The Morelia re do will be tough because it has to be done before Nov 6th and their are no available Sundays left!
