All right, calm down, calm down.... the storm is over and it's time for the first update on the fitness challenge. OK, so huge numbers of you joined up for the challenge.....? Well, a few of you.... I have some points to share starting with myself! Only missed one day of exercise, when i was travelling, and couldn't be bothered to do anything when i got home so, my points total for the week is..... 49!!
Other points scored this first week: Rob H....49 pts, Ron K....35 pts, Behrooz....46 pts, Jody....38 pts and our current leader after week 1.....Ron B with....95 points!!
I'm sure the rest of the team have been doing the challenge but are just too shy to share their scores..... You could disguise yourself? Nobody but me will know...... go on. If late scores come in I'll add them in.
30 min on the elliptical followed immediately by 30 min of weight
ReplyDeletelifting this morning.
Macedonia? Sheesh. My friend the Glasgow-native Celtic supporter
has all but given up on the national side, and Celtic isn't too far
behind in his opinion. Sad, huh?
you can never give up on Celtic!..... they have a great song that has
ReplyDeletethe lines:
" we don't care if we win, lose or draw,
what the Hell do we care,
cause we only know,
that there's gonna be a show,
and the Glasgow Celtic will be there!"
You have to sing it with a Glasgow accent to get the full effect!
Looks like Henrique has defected to Clinton. He played for them at the weekend against Southington and scored in a 6-2 victory for Clinton. Nice of him to tell us what he was doing :-( .
ReplyDeleteLooks like a few teams got games in on Sunday, so we will just have to win all our upcoming games!
Tom! I thought Scott Neal said he would play this fall! Any news! or as he deflected! Scott would be a great addition to us! Can you give him a call? or maybe we should all e-mail him!
ReplyDeleteNow, I went on our website and we still have posted an old picture of us with our red United jerseys, but more worrisome is that we are apparently still looking for players????? Unless you bring back Damir ;-) , don't we have enough players on the roster????
John, I chased my dog around the kitchen table (it sits 6 people) for at least 10 laps - How many points do I get?
good idea...Scott would be a great addition...we could collectively persuade him to return to the fold!
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me.....For your information, Robert is not playing this season but picked up another good player...Rohan. I will also call Scott Neil...you are right, he did say he would play in Fall season. Guys, Kiding aside....we have a tough game this Sunday and they are coming back to win it back.
ReplyDeleteRe. New Farifield: Don't worry, Tom.....Ron and I will cover your man
ReplyDeletefor you......as usual......
Looks like I got my goalie job back for this season since Jim is injured and would not play for a while. I am open to suggestions and accept replacements if any.
ReplyDeleteBehrooz
Suggestion #1: Come out of the goal when we yell for you to come out of
ReplyDeletethe goal.
Suggestion #2: Stay in front of the goal unless we call for Suggestion #1.
My suggestion is to keep me out of the goal.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I have refereeing experience that has favorable results!
Should I wear black?
Which Robert are you talking about! the new guy or Rob Heckel!
ReplyDeleteIs Jim really injured or deflecting to Clinton!? ;-)
How about your Danish friend, Ron? I thought he was a goalkeeper!! Behrooz, you are a great keeper, don't get me wrong, but is your ankle or knee or hip or shoulder (whatever injury you had) is going to sustain a full game.
I have seen all of the emails come through but have not actually read them. I am sorry to say that until I find someone that can help me with my knee, maybe lose 30 pounds or so, my outdoor playing days are done. I have tried to run and my knee keeps swelling. I plan on playing indoor this winter though. I will probably get most of the guys that I had play in the last session last winter.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well and have a great Fall season
I had two severe injuries in 97 and 98 to my knee (repeated issues and torn ligament) and ankle/foot (repeated sprains and torn ligaments). A friend recommended Dr. Kelley to me, as he was the surgeon for a several professional sports teams, including NBA, NFL, MLB.
ReplyDeleteHe never operated on me, which I liked, but did diagnose me, explained all the options and the impact these options would have on me, and monitored my physical therapy. And you can see what a fine, fit physical specimen I am today!
A few of you have told me of chronic knee and ankle injuries and I would certainly get Dr. Kelley's opinion. (No I am not getting paid for this! But if you tell them I referred you I might get a free visit should I need it in the future!) So I am recommending him to you guys, hoping you'll never need his full services of surgery!
