Guilford Celtic is a Connecticut based team playing in the Shoreline Adult Soccer League since 2010. The team was formed in 2003 and played in the Connecticut Adult Recreational Soccer League for 7 years. In 2017 we changed our name from Madison to Guilford Celtic!
The team is inspired by Glasgow Celtic FC...probably the greatest football team on the planet!

STARTING 11 VS Eli's FC
Guys lets have a tighter midfield for this game. We can start with a 4 5 1 formation and take it from there. Leo and Tano should interchange up front. Have fun and let's hope it doesn't rain!
Slight change to line up. Nino starts on the bench Roniildo takes the Nino slot and Fribeka comes in at left centre mid Let's try and stick to our positions during the game guys The midfielders drift apart during the game No need to hug the line!
All excellent pointer John-we will need to be coordinated for the full 90 mins in midfield to pull off a win against Eli, who are currently on a good winning streak!
John, we'll try our hardest to execute the plan in the middle-big welcome back to JohnB-hope you sold a ton of boats! We missed your presence in the middle.
Thanks to Danaldo, our HOME FIELD has moved to the excellent grass field at LONG HILL PARK: 800 Long Hill Road, Guilford, CT 64437
Directions: I-95 North to Exit 57 (Route 1 / Boston Post Road). Turn left at the end of the exit ramp onto Route 1. Go 0.8 mile and take a right on to Flag Marsh Road. Go ½ mile and take a left onto Long Hill Road. Long Hill Park is 0.1 mile on the left. I-95 South to Exit 57 (Route 1 / Boston Post Road). Turn right at the end of the exit ramp onto Route 1. Go 0.6 mile and take a right on to Flag Marsh Road. Go ½ mile and take a left onto Long Hill Road. Long Hill Park is 0.1 mile on the left.
Also, there is every chance we will play on Sunday because Dan also secured the HS turf field as a back-up if the grass field is closed due to rain. The HS is really close to Long Hill, so if the grass is closed, both teams and the refs can just drive a min or so to the HS turf- THANKS DANALDO!!!!!

ReplyDeleteIf you can link with Johnny B and the midfielders stay more centered we should be more difficult to penetrate
ReplyDeleteLeo and Tano don't really link together as forwards so having them on as solo players is fine. They can link with any advanced midfielder
