BREAKING NEWS!! Madison Celts stay in Divisions 2!!

Some great news from SASL management!  You can see the detail below but  basically Madison Celtic are now officially saved from relegation and stay up in Div 2 for Season 2014!

Note that Guilford Black Eagles have moved from the Masters League First Division to the Over-49 League First Division East (for now... division formats have not been agreed upon by the Exec. Board yet).  This means that there is a ripple effect down the Masters League:

    (a) 9th-placed First Division Southeast Rovers are not relegated.

    (b) 9th-placed Second Division Madison Celtic FC are not relegated.

  1. Managers and assistants,

I sent an email on December 27, 2013 stating that I would give everyone until January 4, 2014 (postmark date) to return their passes. As of today, 15 days later, I still have not received passes from the following teams. The teams on this list are officially fined $50.00 per the SASL rules for failure to return your passes. Fines should be paid to the SASL Treasurer, Andrew Allers. Keep in mind you have 15 days to pay your fines. If not paid in 15 days there is another $50 added on for late payment. After 30-days on no payment you could be suspended from the league.

Also as of today I have already received waivers and registration forms for 2014 from 2 teams (Greenwich Pumas and Hamden United). Their passes will be returned in Tuesday's mail. Never to early to get started.

    Over 30
Greenwich Rhinos - received an envelope but it only had 1 pass in it ????
    Shelton Mariners
    Henry C. Reid
    Milford Amigos
    Waterbury Cabo Verde

    Over 40
    Stamford Wolves

Over 48 to become Over 49
    East Haven
    Trumbull Amici

  2. I actually realized last thursday that we are not going to be relegated after talking to the Black Eagle manager....he mentioned they are moving to the over 49 division and that meant our spot should be safe in the 2nd division

  3. So far, I have only received 2014 player waiver forms from Tano and Leo, which means our team is officially 3 players, including me :-) Please go to the SASL website, locate all forms, and you will see the waiver document. Print it out, fill in all the required information, and mail it to my home address, which I sent in an email months ago. SCANNED VERSIONS NOT ACCEPTED BY SASL, SO DON'T EMAIL ME THE FORM OR ASK ME TO FORGE YOUR SIGNATURE. IF YOU ARE NOT PLAYING FOR US NEXT YEAR, EMAIL JOHN BY THE END OF THE WEEK, SO WE CAN GET ORGANIZED FOR THE SEASON, WHICH WILL BE UPON US BEFORE WE KNOW IT!

  4. INDOOR UPDATE
Our official p;layer number is 9. Team fee is $850, which means $95 per player. Please bring the additional $24 on Thursday, so I can make us in good standing ASAP with Stan and the Sportsplex....no exceptions. TomA, can you ask Astrid and his friends to bring their money. So far, Astrid and Fluudy have paid $71 a piece. Their other friend (don't have his namem but he has played both games) has paid nothing. Please let him know he needs to pay $95. There were 2 additional guts who showed up on Thursday. I am talking nothing to do with asking them for money. If you bring extra players, you are responsible for their payments, NOT ME!
