NEXT GAME; Sunday 26th April, Guilford Hawks!

After the fireworks of our first game in the top division last week we now test our unbeaten home record against our local derby rivals Guilford Hawks. We know this team well having played them a number of times and i think if we are "on our game" we can be very competitive.

They finished fourth in Div A last year, winning 8, losing 5 and drawing 3 games overall. For comparison they played last weeks opponents Newtown 3 times last year winning 5-1 at home and 3-2 away with a final tied game of 2-2 away.

Again, we will need a full squad for Sunday and we need to watch out for red and yellow cards! Our squad is too small for suspensions! Kevinho will be available for selection for the weekend as he tries to dislodge the superb El Gutso. Hopefully, no one picked up any further injuries, although we need to check on Scotty's fitness as he limped off during the second half of last weeks match. The beer controversy has been resolved with Roniildo the volunteer bringing the cold stuff for after match celebrations.....at the beach!

See you Sunday!

  7. El Gato...why RB? are you saying a completely knackered goalie, who can barely bend or run is using the RB position as the best place to compete for a place??? Outragous.....try the LB slot, there will be another old, clapped out goalie in that position this Sunday :o)

I'm a big fan of the Madison Celtic. I will be watching your progress with interest this season, as I know you will all be watching me as I attempt to win Britain's Got Talent.
Who is the very small player you have standing behind your team?

  13. having done all the arithmetic....El Gutso won the fitness challenge by a huge margin! Averaging more points in a week than some were doing over 4 weeks. That's why he can now play in so many different positions!

Well done El Gutso! (aka, The Heckelator)

  16. this sounds like fun….expensive fun!….. do we have to be classified as a "youth" team to do this?
I guess that getting a team load of players out to Scotland for a weekend will take several years to organize and get all the various family approvals etc….. we could do with the coaching though!
