ReplyDeleteJust to let everyone know that our schedule of spring games are out but there are some mistakes in it. I have to work out the mistakes with the league and will send it to you as soon as I have it in my hand. As you may know, we have been relegated down or punished by joining SASL and we will playing in the B division. There are 10 teams in our division:

Woodbridge Yellow Jackets
Southbury Boomers
Madison Celtic (the greatest Madison team)
Friendly reminders:
ReplyDeleteHi Guys,
Each player on the roster has to send me a color passport type picture with a copy of their valid driver's License. I need the picture to attach to the SASL ID cards. Your ID player pass number is your actual license number. I need to send the copy of the license with the completed I'd passes back to the SASL board for verification, and they will laminate them and mail back to me.
Tom is bringing the blank ID passes tonight, so if you can get me the other info, that would be fantastic
Thanks for help :o)
HI Guys,
ReplyDeleteSorry, I'm out for the meeting this evening and tomorrow's game... I've been killed by a virus this week with a high fever. Trust me, you all don't want me any where near you right now.

Be careful out there!
Hi Gents;
ReplyDeleteI'm in for the Game tomorrow but I'll be watching the champions league games tonight(Inter and Barca fan) if you don't mind. I'm new in the team, I don't think you need me, I bring the pictures and copy tomorrow.
If you decide or need to buy a new game balls please don't buy the new Adidas, I try it is like a plastic kid ball, and is so expensive for what you have, also in two or three games it would looks very old.
I'm unemployed for now any help to do something (in the computer or the field)
let me know I glad to help Tom.
cheers.

Hello All,
ReplyDeleteAt the Connecticut State Soccer Association (CSSA) Annual General Meeting (AGM) on February 13th, 2010 there was agreement by all the member leagues present to improve the injury claim process for players, where the leagues would be more involved in order to assist players in filing their claims correctly.
The new official procedure is now on the CSSA Website (http://cssasoccer.com) replacing a temporary procedure put in place last December.
You can find a link to the procedure on the Downloads page (since the player needs to download a claim form) and on the What's New page for today. Here is a direct link for a quick look:
http://cssasoccer.com/downloads/insurance_claim.html
Basically, the player must fill out the form as instructed on the above page, have his team manager/coach witness it and sign it, then the team manager/coach sends it to the league they play in. The league then verifies the claim, making sure all is in order, signs the form and then sends it to the CSSA. The CSSA perform further verification before they sign the form and finally submit the claim to the insurance company. The process is detailed with clear instructions on the above page.
IMPORTANT: To make the procedure flow smoothly, it is essential each league assigns a "verification officer" to receive the claim form from team managers/coaches, process it and send it on to the CSSA. Leagues should make their "verification officer" known to their member teams.
Hello All,
ReplyDeleteThe SASL Website (http://saslsoccer.com) has a new banner at the top of the home page, which gives the Website a fresh new look (well, er, at least at the top of the home page...) to compliment the Website's rebirth on a new host server.
The banner was designed and created by Lou Costantini of the Greenwich Gunners Soccer Club, for which I am deeply grateful (a small credit appears under the banner). I think he did a magnificent job, don't you? You can email Lou at lc@graficoinc.com if you feel he deserves your personal well dones.
I would be remiss if I did not thank one other individual.
Angelo Costantini, also of the Greenwich Gunners Soccer Club, had designed and created the old SASL banner when we only had the Over-30 League years ago when the SASL Website had not been around very long (it first started in 1999). Angelo also designed and created the SASL Masters League banner, when it was on a separate page and then it was moved onto the home page next to the Over-30 League banner. When I put together a plain banner for the Over-48 League last year, and strung all three banners along at the top of the home page, Angelo again came through and designed and created a brand new banner for the Over-48 League last October. It actually looked gorgeous with the same colour scheme I had in the plain banner, but I wanted to change a couple of player actions shots on it and wanted to go through my collection of pictures to pick something out. For one reason or another, I never got around to it (I'm always too darned busy...) and the whole winter went by. Lou emailed me recently with the new banner (we tweaked it a couple of times since) and to be honest, I mixed the two brothers up thinking it was Lou who emailed me last Fall. The one banner, rather than three strung together, started to appeal to me, so I decided to go with that. This does not, however, mean I do not also deeply appreciate Angelo's work and contributions to the SASL Website. After all, it was his banners that adorned the Website for as long as nearly 10 years! So, my deepest gratitude also goes to Angelo.
THANK YOU Angelo and Lou for your wonderful creative work.
Hello All,
ReplyDeleteI updated the SASL Website (http://saslsoccer.com) on Sunday, March 28th.
1. Updated This Week's Results -- for make-up games.
2. Updated 2009-2010 League Table and All Results -- for make-up games.
This update is principally for two make-up games from last fall and one rescheduled game from the spring half of the season. Thank you to all of the managers for reporting.
I have also been working on updating the "Managers' List" with many updates I've received over the past month or so. I'm not sure I will complete the work tonight (I'm also not feeling so well), so I've updated the Website with the above for now and perhaps upload the updated Managers' List later (or later in the week).
It is Easter next weekend, with no games scheduled for then. The second half of the 2009-2010 season kicks off the following weekend, April 11th! Let us hope it is a warmer day than today! If you played or officiated today, well done! It was bloody cold (especially if you had to stand around, not playing).
Guys,
ReplyDeleteI am out for tonight. Best of luck, and have fun :o)
Dejan & Danny
ReplyDeleteHope you can play tonight at 8PM!
we won 11-3 report out soon...
