MATCH REPORT; Stamford City 0 Madison 0
The Celts earned a well deserved point in a pulsating away game against Stamford City. Although there were no goals there were plenty of chances for both teams to score. The ball hit post and bar multiple times and some clear cut chances to score were thwarted by both excellent goalkeepers. The game had some great moves and passes that were superb. The Madison Celtic midfield had a great day with Ronnie and Johnny B on top form. Yet again injury robbed us of full games from Nino and Eduardo but everyone played their part. The defense was solid with Fribeka playing an outstanding game as a makeshift left back. Jim and Tim were like rocks at the back with Jim taking forays up into more advanced positions. Tano, Rob, G and Leo all had chances to score but it just wasn't their day but they did get themselves into some great positions
At the end the 0 0 score line seemed fair although it would have been nice to claim all three points!
Man of the Match; some notable performances from Johnny B and Ronnie in midfield and Fribeka at left back but MOM goes to Jim O for another good day at the office!
