Of course, this leaves the Columbus day weekend free. Would have been nice to play but if you get bored you can just stare at the optical illusion above for the next week!
Guilford Celtic is a Connecticut based team playing in the Shoreline Adult Soccer League since 2010. The team was formed in 2003 and played in the Connecticut Adult Recreational Soccer League for 7 years. In 2017 we changed our name from Madison to Guilford Celtic! The team is inspired by Glasgow Celtic FC...probably the greatest football team on the planet!

NO Game This Weekend!
Guys, Hamden are unable to get 11 players to turn up and play our make up game against them this weekend. Having tried to fix on other dates they got in touch with the league and instead of forfeiting the game they are being allowed to reschedule to Nov 13th, which is a one week extension to the league season. Of course, we also have to fit in a make up game against Morelia with no available Sundays left! We may have to be creative and play on a Saturday and a Sunday one weekend. We have a big enough squad to manage this. Unless we have a revolt from the squad I will talk to Morelia about finding a suitable Saturday.

Our next game is on the 16th October, and is an away game to East Haven
ReplyDeleteLet's do the Saturday game sooner than later. I can make any Saturday this month except the 22nd.
ReplyDeleteok i'll reach out to Morelia
ReplyDeleteMore of optical illusion or may be a premonition...
ReplyDeleteThe soccer reporter said: "Jodingo!! look up and make a 50 yards great pass to Tano, and goalllll!!!!"
johnaldo, perhaps the boys want to get together to scrimmage on a non madison field this weekend?
ReplyDeleteroniildo... I will love to.
ReplyDeleteSunday morning at Jared Eliot, guys are playing every Sunday 9 AM if we don't have many guys we can play vs them.
How came we don't arrange a game vs Eagles or any team from Carsl we need to plaaay! or I will move to Caledonia or California.
People think the I like to blog or be in the internet, but honestly all this I do for be part on a soccer team that love to play to as I do. And lately I don't see to much incentive for i, whats going on guys???
Tano i know how you feel! But we are going to be soccer intensive from Oct 16th onwards...6 games in 5 weeks! And we have to win all of them. The Hamden coach just told me that his team will beat us by one or two goals on Nov 13th!!
ReplyDeleteSaturday for a make up game is probably the best option we have.
ReplyDeleteI am planning to play at Jared Eliot this Thursday but I am also available on Sunday morning for a scrimmage as Ronildo suggested.
...we're just going through a quiet period, but i am sure things will rebound soon... we need to rally the team to inspire us to all victories...we really want to get to the div2 this year, since it could be even more challenging next year, with the impending arrival of 3 new teams to div3, and as I understand it, with a lot of just 40 players....yikes
ReplyDelete....just to be clear boys, i suggested the scrimmage, but wont be there myself..what a hypocrite...LOL. I am in Maine for Erin's football tourney until Sunday night or Monday...
ReplyDeleteomg Roniildo, and you are the Captain.
ReplyDeleteroniildo? would John Terry do that? Would Rio Ferdinand? would Scott Broon? wtf
