We had a good competitive game against them earlier in the season which ended in a 1-1 draw after they scored a cruel equalizer with almost the last kick of the ball.
Match Report for that game is here;
Nice little video of that game is here; http://www.youtube.com/user/MadisonCeltic#p/u/7/I3ssvkXG4uY
We are still top of the league after 10 games, we have won 6 games in a row!.... although the league tables have not been updated yet.... well, its only 5 days after the game...give them a chance!
Not sure if we are having a picnic or not....but if we do it will be a mini one. And the beer guy is??

ReplyDeleteExchange field is closed for the rest of the summer till start of Fall season. Behrooz is the MAN in charge of field coordination for Fall. We can only use the Town Campus for rest of the home games or we can ask Madison HS with their permission to play on the football turf. we have 3 options regarding picnic:
1. Go to Surf club after the game for the mini picnic this Sunday
2. or Wait till next Sunday for picnic. We still have to move from Town Campus to Surf Club
3. or have a mini one this Sunday and another bigger one next Sunday too
Tom
ReplyDeletelet's just do the bigger one next weekend then....how woud we get on to the surf club property if we are not palying there?
>>>> And who is Beer boy?
someone volunteered for beer duty last Sunday and not sure who he was..........we have few Madison residents who can get us in and I have a pass to get in....I think the only issue might be getting couple of tables before getting there after the game
ReplyDeleteAnnie, where is the happy hours? TGIF!!
ReplyDeleteBecause is too rude say Happy birthday without a hug and a kiss.
One of the Madison residents could grab the tables before the game!
ReplyDeleteGoing through the list of players, I think Gogolitto, the Judge & LaBoca are up for beers this week, but since the Judge and LaBoca are away it looks like gogolitto...will need confirming, because Sunday will be a scorcher and we will be very thirsty after the match, and we don't want to beer free!
ReplyDeleteFELIZ CUMPLEANOS, ANNIE!! Bring it in right!
ReplyDeleteThanks all for the birthday wishes! I'm an old lady now so celebrations will be quiet...but please no one call me "old lady of the blog"!
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY BARCA JACK! Double digits!
ReplyDeleteLOTB, If you can blow out all of those candles...
ReplyDeleteCheck out the videos of Celtic playing at Fenway....on the Celtic video bar!
ReplyDeleteRonilido--toss some more ice on the extra beer from last week and bring along...that should cover at least some of our thirst...
ReplyDeleteThanks all for your Hulk posting over the last week, It appears Cheshire has been watching and just signed me to a 3 year 7 million dollar contract so it looks like im out for sunday......really enjoyed playing with you guys unless connecticut celt wants to take it to arbitration
ReplyDeleteHello All, ESPECIALLY TANO!
ReplyDeleteRemind me never to go on vacation ever again, I am totally swamped with SASL and CSSA emails! So, please allow me to catch up slowly (yeah, very slowly, please!). Both the SASL and CSSA Websites require updating and it is going to take me a little bit of time (a few years...) and I have a few emails for your information regarding news of tournaments, etc.
So, let's start out slowly with news of TWO adult soccer tournaments you are all invited to in Argentina in 2011 -- giving you plenty of time to organise and save up money! The two tournaments are attached as separate emails below. The first is for February 2011 and the second is for October 2011.
Hello All,
ReplyDeleteIt gives me great pleasure to announce that Connecticut Select Team consisting of CSL and SASL players have won the 2010 George F. Donnelly Cup.
For more information, please visit the Connecticut State Soccer Association Website at http://cssasoccer.com
Many congratulations to the Connecticut Select Team and to Jack Testani and Leszek Wrona for their dedication to Connecticut soccer and helping to make us a true powerhouse in the northeast.
Cheers,
- Garry Archer (CSSA Website Administrator)
Dear Hulk
ReplyDeleteUnless you have signed a wrestling contract with Cheshire you are signed to us for the remainder of this season and next..... you signed in blood for little over 50 beers a season.... i know, i know... we got a bargain.... but really? $7 million over 3 years compared to 50 beers with the boys?
I rest my case..... see you Sunday

ReplyDeleteI can do the beer.
ReplyDeleteGogolitto
Thank you for Happy Birthday wishes... i had a great day.... it's fun being 10.... i will come and watch you all play tomorrow
ReplyDeleteGreat Goggs!
ReplyDeleteThanks Goggo! Arniesto, I will bring the remainder from last week, and what else in the fridge!
ReplyDeleteJohnado, tx for posting finance update...
See you tomorrow at Town Campus...right?
Town Campus tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteLast weeks results are now on the league table update. Madison Celts at the top on 26 points! Bridgeport beat Yellow Jackets 2-0 at home to stay 2 points off the top and in a shock defeat, Woodbridge plunged to a 4-1 loss at home to Southinghton FC putting them 5 points off the pace. This weekedn those two closet rival play each other. A draw or a Woodbridge win would be the best result for us!
