Have a great Day....don't forget the flowers guys!
See you all on Thursday, 7pm , field 4 for our game against Club Napoli!
Don't forget to bring the fees that Roniildo has mentioned!!
Guilford Celtic is a Connecticut based team playing in the Shoreline Adult Soccer League since 2010. The team was formed in 2003 and played in the Connecticut Adult Recreational Soccer League for 7 years. In 2017 we changed our name from Madison to Guilford Celtic! The team is inspired by Glasgow Celtic FC...probably the greatest football team on the planet!
John,
ReplyDeleterespond to your comments. Of course, we have splited the roles among some of the guys (you, Ron, Jody (ha ha), Behrooz, Rob, and we changed how we operate. No issue with that but no one discussed it with me when the SASL meeting was and who is going to it until I received this blog and there was no prior communication
Spring and Fall Rosters
ReplyDeleteWe need to get everyone's confirmation to be on board before collecting dues for Spring and Fall dues (for SASL league). This means we need to call people one by one because some people don't read email or blog and we need to do this faily soon, at least a week before March 1st deadline. I can call Carlos, Halil, Ilham and Telat and get their confirmations. Let me know who is contacting other players
Tom, at the SASL meeting on March 20th we can have two representatives at the meeting. Any more than that and we have to pay for them. Roniildo and Behrooz have said they can attend. I will be in Canada on the 20th so will miss the meeting. As i mentioned before, as your are the President i don't see an issue with you going....we just need to pay the extra money....Just so you know, the SASL will be using Ron and me as the main contacts for the team to ensure we get the finances and communications piece executed well. My recollection is that we agreed to all of this division of labor at the Bar meeting we had. Being in this new league will be an even bigger administrative burden than the CARSL, so the team needs all the help it can muster.
ReplyDeleteI was talked to Tom one night at the indoors field to join you guys to participate in the new league, but it looks like I'm not welcome, because I didn't receive any information and the rooster is done at ready.
ReplyDeleteSo I keep forward to find a new team in that league until I get one so good luck in the new league. For some one who ask, who am I? I'm Guilford Hawks winger player (Argentinian).
Best wishes Ruben T.
Hi Ruben
ReplyDeleteour roster is not done! We would be keen to talk to you about joining! Are you at indoor this Thursday?
Hi guys,
ReplyDeletePlease bring your fees on Thursday or mail them to home address, as I mentioned last week. Our team currently has 20 names on the roster, and hopefully Ruben will like to join us this year. It is easy for us to add players to the roster, as we find them. I have a HUGE FAVOR TO ASK of EVERYONE! Please don’t wait any longer before providing your soccer dues. I need to collect them so I can bring the check to the SASL general meeting in March. Please be assured if we overpay a little now, I will refund any excess to each of you in a timely fashion, or if you prefer, roll any excess into indoor and SASL 2011 dues.
At all of our future Team Meetings, as I have done at our last two meetings, I will report full transparency of our team finances, and I am happy to provide hard copies to those who want them. My concern today is that if we do not collect our dues, as I have requested, we will miss the boat as far as SASL, and the last indoor is concerned. To be fair to all the guys, let me know ASAP if you don't want to be included, so that John and I can communicate to the team exactly where we stand with respect to 2010 soccer status.
Thank you to all for making this work, and look forward to receiving your dues this week. If anything I have written is not clear, please e-mail me or call 203 243 8144.
Best regards,
Ron
Hi Ruben,
ReplyDeleteLook forward to meeting you on Thursday if you can make it.
Hi Rubin,
ReplyDeleteI know we already talked about joining our team and we will be joining the SASL league as I explained. I will try to give you a call before Thursday or I will talk to you Thursday night.
Roniildo...checks made out to Madison Celtic? yes?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder John!
ReplyDeleteChecks to
Madison Celtic FC
Gents,
ReplyDeleteI need the following people's email adress and phone number please: Drew, Ilhan, Halil and Telat. I also need the following people's home address: Drew, Ilhan, Halil, Telat, Jody, Carlos. Please email them to me at adnani84@comcast.net. This information is needed for USASA and CSSA ID card and the forms I have to submit.
Thanks,
Behrooz
Gents,
ReplyDeleteJust to clarify Ron's concern about the fees that are coming due soon. Eventhough, we are not starting SASL until August, there are certain fees that has to be submitted to the League on March 20th to guarantee our spot. These fees include:
$100 Application Fee (One time fee)
$300 League Fee (Yearly fee)
$100 New Team Bond (One time fee)
$200 New Team 2 Year probation discipline Bond (Is returned to the team after 2 years probation with no discipline problems) (One time fee)
$500 CSSA registration Fees (Yearly fee)
$85-$185 Referee fee per home game (Based on 1 or 3 referee per game) (Avg. $1300-$1500 per year) (could be more per year)
So an Average of $2500 per year is an starting estimate divided among 20 people per our roster. So please bring your dues so Ron can make this transaction with smoother and with no difficulty.
Thanks,
Ron,
ReplyDeleteI will drop by tomorrow to pay my dues.
I won't play indoor after all. So, if your calculations are correct - given that you are a CFO without an MBA - I will owe $126.50 for the SASL and $35 for the spring CARSL session.
do not show up tomorrow dude, tomorrow is Wednesday. we play at 7 on Thursday feb. 18th. Good thing you do not have an MBA......:-)
ReplyDeleteEl Gato
ReplyDeletehe means he will drop by his office tomorrow.... i think you all need MBA's to work this out
