Depending on the weather we may have at least one more friendly and maybe another make up league game before the end of the year. I will be doing a season round up for the Fall season and an overall round up for the year shortly. But it's worth reminding ourselves what shape we were in only a few short weeks ago......internal strife, poor communication and a dwindling squad. We had our Bar Summit and got ourselves together. Signing a few new players such as Dejan, Telat, Ilan and now Halil has really helped the team over the last few weeks and got us back into a competitive position. Having different options on the field is a great help. If we can get a few more for the Spring 2010 season we will be in good shape as a team.I think it would be good for us to have another Bar Summit before the end of the year to talk about how we have done and also to celebrate the end of the 2009 season. If you are up for this then say yes in the comments section below and suggest what day of the week, and venue, works best for you.
Roll call for this Sunday is going sloooow.....only 4 players are yes so far with Tom A being 50/50. We need to get final numbers before Friday so we can tell Guilford if we are a go or not.
Finally, just to make Roniildo feel a little bit better after his penalty miss have a watch at this!

ReplyDeleteMiddle of week is tough for me for the bar summit but friday night can work for me and let's pick a better place to meet with good choice of food and snacks..Augur's didn't have much to offer last time....let's pick either Chips Pub in Clinton, or Guilford Mooring or Eli's in Branford and they all have good choice of food and appetizers with beer.

As for the meeting, here's my schedule - Friday the 11th, I'm babysitting because my wife has her work holiday party - Saturday the 12th, I have a Hockey game, so I'm probably out for the last game on Sunday the 13th - Tuesday the 14th, I have another hockey game, so I can't really justify to my wife/son going out on Monday the 12th, but that would be my best day if I don't come home too late!....
