NEXT GAME; Sunday 21st May; VS Guilford Bell Curve
A huge local derby game this Sunday at Guilford High School as Guilford Celtic take on arch rivals Guilford Bell Curve! These have always been very competitive games and i expect no different this Sunday. The Celts will be looking to bounce back from a poor performance a couple of Sundays ago. Bell Curve have had an indifferent start to their league campaign with only 1 win and 1 draw to their name. Should be a great game so get their early for a good warm up!
Kick off is at 10am at Guilford High School!

This is an artificial turf field boys, so bring your favourite cleats
ReplyDeleteI watched Bell curve pummel Derby quitus 7-1 a couple of weeks a go and they looked decent to me. They have one CB who throws the ball into the 6 yard box, so we need to be able to defend well in the air tomorrow. Should be a good game lads, so let's plan on 3 points....
ReplyDeleteI agree Ronnie. The points are there for the taking but we will have to be back to our best form!
ReplyDeletelast time we played Guilford Bell Curve was Nov 8th 2014!! We lost 3 2
ReplyDeleteThanks John for the reminder of our last match with Bell Curve-I'll check out the match report later today!
ReplyDeleteI remember the photo of Ruben's soccer cleat collection- bigger than Imelda Marcos' shoe collection! We lost 3-2 to them back in 2014, so I expect another tight match tomorrow. I hope we have a competitive game and a beer with our neighbors at the Clubhouse afterwards!
ReplyDeleteIf you look at the SASL league results, this league is wide open and for the taking! Crazy results- for example, Bell Curve destroy Derby 7-1, yet Derby hols Norwalk to a tie- go figure- should be an unpredictable season, which adds to the drama- see everyone in the morning at 9:30 or before for warm-up
