Guilford Celtic is a Connecticut based team playing in the Shoreline Adult Soccer League since 2010. The team was formed in 2003 and played in the Connecticut Adult Recreational Soccer League for 7 years. In 2017 we changed our name from Madison to Guilford Celtic! The team is inspired by Glasgow Celtic FC...probably the greatest football team on the planet!

Warm Up Game Vs Madison Over 30's!
Guys, the season start is nearly upon us. For all those guys that sent in their waiver forms and fees many thanks you will be having a fun season. For those of you that didn't, even after many weeks of asking, thanks and goodbye! Well....you have a few days left but then it's done. No signed waiver means you cannot play for any team in SASL
We have a warm up game scheduled against Madison over 30's for Sunday April 7th at the Exchange field with a 9am kick off
Please tell me if you can make it..... Unfortunately I will be in China that day so Ronnie and Ruggerho will be doing the team duties if they are available
Our season proper kicks off with an away game on April 14th against Cheshire!
See you all on the field soon!

The CSSA requests that a Laws of the Game "Point of Emphasis" be communicated to all adult match-assigned referees prior to the start of competitive men's adult league matches (men's Open, U-23, O-30 to O-50 leagues and divisions), and co-ed leagues.
ReplyDeleteThis is a request derived from a CSSA Special Committee on Referee Abuse that recently met. The Committee recommended that the following Laws of the Game be emphasized beginning this spring:
LAW 12 - FOULS AND MISCONDUCT:
Sending-off offences:
* USING OFFENSIVE, INSULTING OR ABUSIVE LANGUAGE AND/OR GESTURES.
The CSSA requests that assigned referees issue a red-card to any player who verbally abuses them, or anyone else. Too many times we are getting reports of only a yellow-card (or no card at all) being issued when a referee is verbally abused, while the Laws of the Game require a red-card.
I will be there
