NEXT GAME; Sunday April 29th Vasco da Gama
After the rough and tumble of our unfortunate defeat to the Greenwich Pumas we now head to our first away game of the season against league leaders Vasco da Gama. Vasco finished third from the bottom of the league last year. However, they have won their first two games away from home beating Orange 4-2 and then Norwalk Mariners 2-0 and are clearly a good team and will be favourite to pick up the three points. But underdogs can win against the team most likely! Barca were almost guaranteed to be in the Champions League final but lost out to a pugnacious Chelsea team.
So, lets try our best on Sunday to make a good game of it. We are a good team and if we keep our shape and discipline will give a good account of ourselves
The game is at Veterans Memorial Park, Bridgeport with a 10 am kick off!

ReplyDeleteLike John said, this is a good team and their standing was better than Greenwich Pumas last season and have already won 2 games this season. My recollection is that the Veteran Memorial park has 2 fields. The fields are not good fields, there are more holes on the field than grass and hope they have been repaired since the last time I have seen it. I am 50/50 for this Sunday
ReplyDeleteI'm in.
ReplyDeleteWhat time would you meet for a carpool?

ReplyDeleteCan enyone contact Edgimar and Edison?
ReplyDeleteSafet. Tano has talked to them and I think Ronnie is going to talk to them too. I get the impression they don't want to play for us. Too big a squad? Ironic since we have players injured already and away games will be tough to get a good group to turn up

ReplyDeleteFor those of you that say that you don't get enough playing time or the squad is not big enough...then these are the games that give you as much time as you want.... an away game that through the season usually keeps the squad to around 14
ReplyDeleteGuys: I'm available.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm empty so I want to start over with a new strategies and try with you guys.
I like this formation for now: Goalkeeper=Ihlan Def= Tom A as only one, Sweeper) Mid= (in circle formation) Ronildo,Johnaldo,Tom P.
,Behrooz, Jack, Jody, and Tano in the mid of that circle,Fwd Hulk and La Boca. I wants to the circle grab their hands and Tom A put the ball inside the circle and running but the circle have to rotate and run fwd. at the same time holding their hand hard, Hulk run fwd. and scare the def La Boca distract them by talking about his adventures, until the circle get so close, so Tano can go between your legs and score, is calling cuckoo clock technique keep discretion please.Oh I forget for def strategy I want the circle open in the line in front of the goalie and wait for the other team mistake. That I call Chelsea monkey on the bar. Let me know if you agree and I take a jet to be there ASAP. OS VEMS COÑO.
Pep, that sounded great until you said "so Tano can go between your legs and score"
ReplyDeletePep...Thank you but just take a break, we may consider your advice, but we are confuse by our formation at ready, we probably runs you cuckoo and you don't want to be like Mourinho. Good luck Mr. Pep.

Its a shame about Carlito. I hope the league will be informed of this turn of event, and the league will take appropriate action.
ReplyDeleteAs for Edison and Edimar, we would really use them at this moment so I hope Ronildo/Tano will work magic and convinced them to reconsider (i.e. their very expensive new jerseys have been ordered!??).
Lets try to sign Ronaldo and Messi! After their CL failures, they would need a brake from their respective team.

ReplyDeleteHope to see you back next week Jorge. Are you injured too, or just the long drive to Bridgeport?
did you order the new new jersey's Fribeka? I think it is best to have the new players order their own uniforms from now on....Soccer.com is easy access ;-)

ReplyDeleteAlso we have Carlos for about 8 games out.
We have to bring all what we have to the field.
We have to play aggressively, but against the other Team, and show that we don't need them and give to Carlos good news.
Please support us!!! by showing at time (9:45 am) and DO YOUR BEST.
Cheers.

ReplyDeleteI have spoken with both Eddy and Edjmar and have convinced them to show up on Sunday. Eddy said he will be there with Edjmar and Edjmar will confirm it with me tomorrow. I know they both like to play together. I have also said they can car carpool from Guilford off of exit 58 if they have transportation issue.
ReplyDeleteWell done Tom
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom! Awesome that you are car pooling with, and bringing our new players...see you Sunday
ReplyDeleteTomA... and you believe them?
ReplyDeleteBut tell them to bring their fees 90 bucks each, right? how about that, or if you want to pay for them, will be good too.
And You have to convinced them? How? what was your argument for it, a 90 minutes play?
ooohh ouch shit I twist my ankle my chair is broken and I fall
sorry guys I'm out for Sunday.
Ronny,
ReplyDeleteI am not bringing them. I suggested they can carpool if they need to with few guys from Guilford, exit 58. Edjmar is going to confirm with me tomorrow and will post it on the blog
its going to be a bit chilly tomorrow so make sure you bring something warm!
ReplyDelete.....or we could all just run a bit faster....
ReplyDeleteHulk Timmy is playing..... that's Goggs!
ReplyDeleteTomA,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your clarification. Did the new guys confirm yet?
Halil and Ilhon just confirmed they are in for tomorrow
ReplyDeleteJohnaldo..You said bring something warm, that means change the cool beers for a bottle of Scotch,Rum Vodka and Tequila? no caipirinha because they won't be there.
ReplyDeleteI'm planning to join Guilford FC. they let me play for free and give me new Tevez free shirt, can some one call me and convince me to stay with Madison?. ;)
Ejmar confirmed that he and Eddy will play tomorrow

tough game today was never a 3 0 maybe 1 0?
ReplyDeletewe are finding our way with a lot of things changing in the team right now. I feel confident, we will do OK over the entire season. wouldn't worry about loosing 2 in a row...look at Barca's fortunes of late!
ReplyDeleteDoes Friday in Guilford (Cox School or Calvin Leete?) 6-8PM work for anybody? I know it is hard to give up a Friday early evening, but one of the few times I can coordinate with my kid's soccer practice...just an idea
Clap clap clap to Roniildo, I like your comment Doctor.
ReplyDeleteThursday will be a bunch of New Masonic Celtic(lol) players.
John B., Eddi, Edgmar, Tom P. me Ruggero and maybe Chris too, so we can play together.
where and when Tano?
ReplyDeletesince that we have to arrange a place by the baseball guys we do first Morgan and then Elliot in Clinton, we used to look for Indian River but that beautiful places is always busy so we change now to go first Morgan then Elliot middle school. 6 pm and we do Tuesday and Thursday.
ReplyDeleteTom A. can you ask your contacts to practice with some ones in Guilford (Clavin Lette) to see if we can do a routine of every week.
And listen this: first step of create a competitive team is to get a place that we are playing at least twice week so we can see new players how they deal with the team and recruit them.
Thursday or Friday will work most of the time for me. My suggestion is to spend as much time as we can practicing physical and tactical drills to improve our Sundays games rather than just playing pickup games.
ReplyDeleteRugginho
Johnaldo... (vago) Vasco da Gama want to read your game report, and please take that Carlos pic out, my wife think that we are doing UFC instead of friendly soccer.
ReplyDeleteCinco de Mayo is Saturday......I hope we have a full squad on Sunday morning!!!
ReplyDeleteYo! It's Thursday afternoon....are we fielding a team this week against Fairfield?? Or are we still licking our wounds?
ReplyDeleteI'm in. Meeting at Exit 58 and leaving there no later than 8:45.
