Our next game of the season is against league newcomers Besa.
This is a home game at Bitner Park with a 10am kick off.

MATCH REPORT; Guilford Celtic 3 Wallingford Morelia 3

It was deja vu all over again as the Celts and Morelia served up a 3 3 thriller, although how this ended up being a tied game is anyones guess. The Celts totally dominated the first half with great goals from Ravi (2) and Johnny B providing a huge lead going in to the second half. The home team should have pressed home the advantage but the front line increasingly were getting caught in an offside trap as the Morelia team started to play a high defense. As the half progressed Morelia managed to get right back in to the game scoring 2 goals. But with the clock running down in injury time it looked like all 3 points were heading home until  the ref intervened and gave Morelia a huge chance to grab a point by giving them a penalty. They duly scored and the spoils were shared.

Disappointing in the end but the Celts are unbeaten after 2 games!

NEXT GAME; Sunday 22nd April vs Wallingford Morelia

First home game of the season will be an 8am kick off against old rivals Wallingford Morelia at Bittner park. These games are always fun and can be high scoring too!

Match Report; Panzones 0 Guilford Celtic 1

A great start to the new season for the Guilford Celts as they won their opening game one nil. In a tough game the Celts opened the scoring after 20 minutes when big Dom hit the back of the net. Unfortunately big Dom also hit the goalie later in the game and it looks like our top scorer has broke his arm. The erst of the game was defended well by the Celts to run out one nil victors and claim the first three points of the season.

A New Season Beckons! Next Game, Sunday 15th April vs Pan Zones (A)

Hi guys

the new season is upon us and we have our first game of the season tomorrow! It's an away game against Pan Zones. I don't know anything about them so let's just go beat them!

Kick off is at 10am at Stanley Quarter Park, New Britain

I haven't seen  a roll check but i'm off in Scotland so will miss the game.

Directions to field;

STANLEY QUARTER PARK:

I-84 East to Exit 39A (Route 9 South), take Route 9 South to first exit (Corbins Corner / West Farms Mall) and turn right onto Route 71. Go through about 5 traffic lights past Stanley Golf Course, entrance to Stanley Quarter is straight ahead at traffic light where Route 71 bears to the left. Go straight (one way) into park entrance, field on right.
